Greg Metze joined the distillery consulting arena on June 1, 2016 as the owner/operator of Master Distiller Methods, LLC. As a consultant, he wants to share his passion and experience with others by teaching the fine art of producing premium distilled spirits.
Master Distiller Methods, LLC was founded to provide a complete source of experience, expertise, knowledge, tradition and craftsmanship in all facets of distillery practices relevant to producing quality distilled products.
The goal of Master Distiller Methods, LLC to pass along what Metze has learned about the art and science of making distilled spirits during his 38-year career. Many of those years were served under the Joseph E. Seagram & Sons company that pioneered many of the methods used today. They set the benchmark for quality spirits based on traditional methods.
Metze is well versed in all aspects of cooking, fermentation, distillation, blending and quality. He has experience with a multitude of mash bills and distillation methods encompassing bourbon whiskey, rye whiskey, wheat whiskey, malt whiskey, exotic whiskey, corn whiskey, batch light whiskey, gin and vodka.
Metze is passionate about the art of producing distilled spirits and has the skills to teach and train others what is needed to consistently produce quality spirits.
